The IT Factor: Fluffy, Shiny, Coat
Let's talk about how adding antioxidants and Omega 3’s can help your dogs skin and coat: from the inside out.
We would love to say that our shampoo alone will create a soft, fluffy coat - but that would be a false claim. Because, you are what you eat.
Frequently we hear from pet owners they are looking for a shampoo to cure their dogs coat and skin issues. Some shampoos can irritate their skin further when containing artificial fragrances and aggressive cleansing agents.
The issue of coat and skin problems, in most cases, really does start with your dog’s bowl. Adding to your dog’s diet isn’t complicated or expensive. Here are few things you can add to your dog’s bowl that make a difference:
- Add fish oil that is rich in Omega 3. Animals just as humans can’t synthesize this from their bodies. Most dog foods don’t contain enough Omega 3. Not only will this protect their Heart and Kidneys, adding this to your dog’s food can eliminate shedding and keep their skin hydrated.
- New Zealand Green Lipped Mussels not only support joint health for you dog but are antioxidant to help maintain skin and coat. This supplement can easily be added to your dog’s bowl along with blueberries, broccoli, spinach, pumpkin, carrots and sweet potato.
Always check with your veterinarian before supplementing. It doesn’t need to be complicated or expensive and little additions can make a huge difference!
