We are all about protecting the planet and our pets!

Being meticulous, I am always cleaning. And when covid hit we were ALL cleaning! Everywhere you went there were disposal wipes being used to clean. Sadly, many of those disposable wipes are made of tiny beads of plastic that never break down in the earth and end up killing our marine mammals when flushed down the toilet. This is one of the reasons Groomer And George does not make disposal eye wipes. We recommend a reusable and washable cloth. 

Over the years, I have made my own antibacterial cleaners with vinegar and baking soda. Along the way I have learned that some of the essential oils that we use in aromatherapy and for natural cleaning are toxic and deadly for cats and dogs. A few examples are tea tree oil, pine oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil and citrus, to name a few. 

One of the best products I found for disinfecting at the beginning of the pandemic was stabilized colloidal silver! 

Stable colloidal silver is an antibacterial, anti-fungal and has antiviral properties. You can spray it directly onto surfaces. Stable colloidal silver is nontoxic to pets and can be used as a wound cleaner or to treat skin conditions such as ringworm and even ear infections. It's perfect for cleaning a cat’s litter box or your dog’s placemat.

Next time you’re at your local pet retailer find yourself some Stabilized Colloidal Silver; it will change how you disinfect. In our opinion, this should be in every earth conscious, pet loving home!
